CJ has worked at the intersection of politics and entertainment for almost a decade. During the 2004 election, she assisted in the surrogate trips of talent traveling to Wisconsin, a key battleground state. She was also the Director of Operations and Outreach for the Courage Campaign in which she was able to both raise money in the Hollywood community as well as leverage talent to speak on behalf of the organization. In the 2008 cycle, CJ produced events and managed the media rollout for the Starz Green Room at the Democratic National Convention in Denver with speakers and talent including Kerry Washington, Hill Harper, Bobby Shriver, Arianna Huffington, and John Podesta. In addition, as the Director of Friends and Family and Surrogate Scheduler for Obama for America, she managed surrogate trips for talent including Jay-Z, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Ben Affleck, and others. CJ later worked as a publicist for clients such as Shepard Fairey and the Entertainment Industry Foundation as well as documentaries including Stacy Peralta’s Crips and Bloods: Made in America, FUEL, Crude, and the Emmy Award winning Teddy: In His Own Words.

CJ received her MA in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art and her BA from Wellesley College. She lives in Los Angeles.
