Rachel Tardiff started volunteering on political campaigns well before she could vote, canvassing for local candidates as a teenager and for Senator Kerry in the 2004 presidential election. A founding member of local chapters of Amnesty International and the American Civil Liberties Union, she furthered her early interest in activism by attending American University, studying Public Communication with a focus on progressive political communications and social media. Rachel spent two years with American University Media Relations and another two on the American University Library Public and University Relations team where she developed a particular interest in online communication, website design, and social media outreach.

Rachel also is a published academic writer, a museum enthusiast, and an avid National Zoo supporter. She brings to FitzGibbon Media a passion for progressive activism and an interest in environmental and social justice.
