Crisis Communications

From the BP oil spill to Wikileaks, FitzGibbon Media has been there to fight right-wing attacks, expose false claims from big corporations, and tell the story the way it should be heard.

FitzGibbon played a critical role at the height of the WikiLeaks scandal, teaming up with famed whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg and former CIA officer Raymond McGovern to push back against right-wing calls for the assassination of American soldier Bradley Manning.

In light of the assassination attempt on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Tuscon, Arizona, FitzGibbon Media worked with Common Cause to promote tolerance and to ratchet down extremist rhetoric, successfully placing former U.S. Representative and Common Cause President Bob Edgar on national news talk shows including Fox and Friends, the number one cable news morning program.

When the BP oil spill catastrophe hit, Fitzgibbon worked with the Gulf Restoration Network and local fishermen to debunk BP’s false claims about the disaster. The calls to government agencies to take specific actions were heard loud and clear.

When former CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson testified before Congress to defend herself against untruthful allegations about her and Ambassador Joseph P. Wilson's activities to assist our government, FitzGibbon principal, Naomi Seligman, made sure the world heard the full story.
