When a brand new ethics watchdog, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), launched in 2004, Naomi Seligman’s aggressive strategy created a leading voice to target corruption in government. By 2006, exit polls placed corruption above the war in Iraq as the greatest concern to voters in the mid-term elections. To this day, CREW remains the gold standard of government ethics organizations.

David Brock recruited Naomi Seligman to help start his watchdog group, Media Matters for America. The organization is now the nation’s most influential counter to conservative misinformation in the media.
